- W2091700906 abstract "Neutron spectroscopy is a still intensity limited technique and, therefore, many attempts have been made to increase the luminosity. Perfect crystals and magnetic fields are known as effective and coherent tools for neutron beam tailoring. Moderate magnetic fields cause momentum shifts comparable to the width of the perfect crystal reflection curve, which provides the basis for gated crystal systems and for crystal resonators. Various systems for an extremely high energy or momentum resolution preserving an effective decoupling of the resolution from the intensity are discussed. It is shown how travelling magnetic waves can be used for an effective beam bunching from pulsed sources. Analogies to the squeezing phenomena known in laser spectroscopy will be shown. Squeezed neutron states are discussed in connection with recent high order interference experiments." @default.
