- W2092154911 abstract "Abstract A series of monodentate tertiary phosphines having similar electronic effects are employed to prepare a series of cobalt(III) complexes of the types a) trans- [(ADPC)2CoP2]ClO4, b) cis-[(ADPC)2CoP2]ClO4, c) trans-[(ADPC)2Co(H2O)P]ClO4 and trans-[(ADPC)2CoLp]ClO4, where ADPC is the anion of 6-acetyl-3,5-diphenyl-cyclohex-2-enone (HADPC), P = PPh3, PMePh2, PEtPh2, P(i-Pr)Ph2 or P(t-But)Ph2 and L = NH3, MeNH2, PhNH2 or Pyridine (Py). The methods and conditions of the prepararions are discussed. The cis/trans distribution is found to be dependent on the steric effects of the phosphines, where the trans-isomer predominates with increasing the steric effect. The 1H n.m.r and 31P n.m.r, electronic and i.r. spectral data are studied and related to the steric effects of the phosphine ligands." @default.
