Some findings indicated that many juvenile delinquents often had high self-esteem but it tended to be more unstable. The supreme aim would be to develop a secure high self-esteem or authentic self-esteem which involved a two-factor of high worthiness and competence. One effective way to enhance authentic self-esteem is to design and implement transformative learning.
