Systemic side effects are generally not serious. In the studies, adjuvanted vaccines do not increase neither the risk of Guillain Barre syndrome nor auto-immune diseases. There is no convincing evidence that exposure to thimerosal in vaccines had any deletorious effect on physiological outcome.Plusieurs études ont montré la réticence de la population à se faire vacciner contre le virus A (H1N1) notamment par crainte des effets indésirables liés à l’utilisation de thiomersal ou d’adjuvants à base de squalène.Ce travail a donc consisté en une revue des données disponibles dans la littérature concernant l’utilisation, dans les vaccins, de squalène (MF59, AS03, AF03) et du thiomersal.Dans l’état actuel des connaissances, les vaccins adjuvantés par le squalène se sont avérés être efficaces et bien tolérés, bien qu’ils occasionnent plus fréquemment que les vaccins non-adjuvantés des effets indésirables locaux. Les effets indésirables systémiques rencontrés dans les vaccins avec adjuvants étaient rarement graves. Dans les études retrouvées, les vaccins adjuvantés n’ont pas augmenté le risque de survenue de syndrome de Guillain-Barré ou de maladies auto-immunes. Le role du thiomersal dans l’autisme n’a pas été établi." @default.
