- W2092364260 abstract "In a recent article, we reported the first detection of an Hα counterpart to the EUV blinker in observations obtained by the Hida Observatory Domeless Solar Telescope (DST) and the SOHO Coronal Diagnostic Spectrometer (CDS). Using high-cadence, long-duration observations with CDS alone, we also confirmed the result of previous authors that EUV blinkers are in fact composed of short-duration (2-3 minutes), small (2''-3'') brightening events. We suggested the name elementary blinker and found that the Hα counterparts closely resembled these events. This paper is the second part of a series that aims to firmly establish the properties of these elementary blinkers and their Hα counterparts and thus to help understand the connection and relationships between different active phenomena in the solar chromosphere, transition region, and corona. In this paper, we perform a statistical study of the EUV properties of active region elementary blinkers and examine correlations between the various observed quantities. We also discuss the results and their relevance to uncovering the physical mechanism responsible for blinkers. Among the most significant results, we find" @default.
