- W2093196033 abstract "In many cases, organizational change implies risk for the staff. Resistance against change management is often the consequence. This paper presents a model to reconstruct the effect of risky organizational change on the individual. This model is our basis for demonstrating how change managers can use functional governance structures to increase the staff’s acceptance of additional risk. With appropriate governance structures, risk-averse employees and managers will accept even risky organizational change due to self-interest. Governance structures are thus an alternative to approaches that attempt to either change the staff’s risk aversion or search for risk-free changes. Furthermore, our model highlights the context under which information, communication, and participation become effective for risky organizational change." @default.
