Die Struktur der amorphen Metall–Metalloid-Legierungen wird mit einem Modell diskutiert, das auf der dichten, zufälligen Packung von harten Kugeln beruht, und einem Modell mit statistischer Anordnung von trigonalen Prismen. Einige Beispiele von Beugungsdiagrammen an hochdosisimplantierten Metallen zeigen eine polykristalline Struktur. Die Bildung von amorphen Metall–Metalloid-Legierungen durch Ionenimplantation läßt sich mit einem allgemeinen Kriterium beschreiben. Es wird angenommen, daß der für den Phasenübergang (Amorphisierung) verantwortliche Mechanismus das Konzept der Schockwelle in der Hochdichte-Kaskade einschließt. High-dose ion implantation of boron, carbon, nitrogen, and silicon ions into different crystalline metal films is used to produce amorphous metal-metalloid alloys. The implanted foils are subsequently investigated by high-voltage electron microscopy (HVEM) and selected area diffraction (SAD). The structure of amorphous metal-metalloid alloys is discussed in terms of a model based on the dense random packing of hard spheres and a model of random arrangement of trigonal prisms. Some examples of diffraction patterns obtained from implanted metals with high dose show a polycrystalline structure. The formation of amorphous metal-metalloid alloys by ion implantation can be described within a generally criterion. The mechanism responsible for the phase transition (amorphization) is thought to involve the concept of the shock wave in the high-density cascade." @default.
