Die CH2-Gruppen haben alle gauche-Konformation (Diederwinkel – 79.7°, +56.2° und +50.1°) und fallen aus der Symmetrie 2 heraus, der das übrige Molekül in etwa gehorcht. Durch Verdrillung des Zwölfrings werden auch die ankondensierten Benzolringe vertwistet. Intramolecular Interactions of Triple Bonds, IX. The Crystal and Molecular Structure of 9.10.15.16-Tetradehydro-11.12.13.14-tetrahydro-dibenzo[a,c] cyclododecene The crystal structure of the title compound has been solved by direct methods from three-dimensional (sin Θ/λ ⩽ 0.66) counter data collected with MoKα-radiation on a fully automated computer-controlled diffractometer by the balanced-filter method. The structure has been refined by a block-diagonal matrix least-squares method to R == 0.053. The e.s.d. of the bond lengths and angles are 0.0025 Å and 0.17°. The triple bonds are crossed with an angle of 47.6° and deviate by 8.7° from 180° at both ends in a cisoid manner. Their midpoints have a distance of 3.034 Å. Within the 12-ring the remaining bond angles are enlarged because of transannular contacts. The CH2-groups have gauche-conformation (dihedral angles –79.7°, +56.2°, +50.1°). The molecule has symmetry 2 with exception of the methylene groups. The distortion of the 12-ring causes twisting of the benzene rings too." @default.
