RESUMEN: Este estudio se acerca a la problematica del Trabajo Infantil, a partir de las Representaciones Sociales de menores trabajadores  y de sus empleadores,  en la experiencia cotidiana del Trabajo. Toma una poblacion de ninos en edades de 6-12 anos y a sus empleadores (padres de familia), con el fin de profundizar en el conocimiento de las condiciones en las que se desarrolla el  fenomeno del trabajo infantil, desde la perspectiva de los actores involucrados. La metodologia utilizada consistio en describir e interpretar las Representaciones Sociales de ninos trabajadores y empleadores sobre sus vivencias en la experiencia del trabajo;  utilizo entrevistas semiestructuradas, la observacion y el desarrollo de talleres ludicos para la obtencion de la informacion. El estudio se enmarco dentro del  conocimiento de los derechos de lo menores y determino a partir del discurso de ninos y empleadores,  las siguientes categorias  de analisis: vision socio- economica y cultural del trabajo infantil; valores del trabajo  infantil; riesgos del trabajo infantil y conocimiento y ejercicio de los derechos de los menores. Los resultados corroboran las altas exigencias del trabajo para los ninos, y evidencian como la cultura de estas familias, acepta esta forma de vida, argumentada en la necesidad de formar ninos responsables desde edades tempranas, senala como la falta de oportunidades  obliga a que este fenomeno se perpetue, en medio del desconocimiento de los derechos humanos.  Esta situacion lleva a proponer nuevas reflexiones sobre las formas de intervencion de las instituciones protectoras de la ninez y a definir  mecanismos de proteccion integrales y responsables que rompan el circulo de la pobreza, mejorando la vision de los derechos humanos y la importancia de su ejercicio, a traves de procesos educativos y de apoyo intersectorial con la poblacion afectada. Finalmente, se hace decisivo enfocar la naturaleza del problema del trabajo  infantil, para mejorar las condiciones de manera urgente, ya que la erradicacion del fenomeno aun esta distante, dada la situacion de pobreza. ABSTRACT: This social study comes closer to the children work problem, from the Social Representations of the small workers and  their employers at the daily work experience. This study takes a group of children from six to twelve ages and their employers (parents), in order to deep in the knowledge of the conditions where this phenomenon is taking place. Also, to be objective of the same one, from the perspective of the involved actors. The descriptive and interpretive methodology of the Social Representations  of children and employers about their lives and their work experience, is carried out to obtain  the information, through the semi-structured interview, the observation and workshops. This information is framed into the knowledge of the boy´s rights and it is determined from the speech of children and employers. The following categories of analysis: social economical and cultural  children work vision, values, risks and knowledge and practice of children´s rights, allow to go deep in the analysis of this phenomena. Most of the results corroborate  the high demands of the children‘s work and they give enough evidence of how the culture accepts this life style that it is argued, upon the necessity of forming responsible children from early ages. Furthermore, it point out the lack of opportunities  making up the perpetuity of the phenomenon amid the lack of knowledge of the human rights.  This situations make us to propose new reflections on the way childhood institutions intervene and help this children and their  families, defines integral  and effective protection mechanisms that break down the poverty circles, improve the vision of the human rights and its importance thorough educational processes and multisectorial intervention. Finally, is important to focus on the nature of the real problem, which does not allow its complete eradication so the urgently matter  is to improve the conditions where this permanent poverty problem is developed.
