In the first section, the numerical and computational approaches that are most frequently used in this area of research are summarized, and the references on some theoretical and experimental works are given. Consequently, we describe a hybrid model that is capable to express physical quantities depending on the electron energy distribution function (like reaction rates, diffusion coefficients, coefficients of mobility, etc.) as functions of space coordinates (x, y, z) and given time <i xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>t</i> .
