- W2103199818 abstract "The high volume of events created by a large number of security devices, increased threat levels, and the struggle to keep pace with the expansive list of vulnerabilities that grows daily epitomize the problem of managing information security in today's wireless mobile network. The paper present Comprehensive Information Security Management (CISM) solution, which is based on the technology with a fully integrated incident resolution workflow based on the best practices for incident resolution management. CISM combines three main correlation technologies in concert to help security team work smarter. That is, CISM implement a solution that allows them to correlate events against known vulnerabilities, implement correlation rules that identify successive related suspect events, and use statistical models to score threats based on vulnerability and asset importance. The paper describes the system framework and general design scheme of CISM, which puts emphases on security event normalization and the structure design of security event correlation engine. With the rapidly development of wireless mobile communication system and the network technology, ALL-IP has increasingly become the inevitable trend of the future mobile communication network. In the foreseeable future years, mobile communication network will suffer more security threat than conventional networks. More and more security devices such as firewalls, IDSs and antivirus systems will be widely used in network. However, most security practitioners are painfully familiar with the primary obstacles most security organizations face: too much security data to sift through, too many false positives to deal with, and not enough budget or resources to handle an ever- growing number of security incidents. Nascent security teams have struggled to keep pace with the volume of threats. In addition, timely and effective incident response is directly related to minimizing incident-induced loss to any network, and at an operational level, ensuring that the wireless mobile network is continuously reducing risk exposure. A clearly defined, documented, and repeatable security management process is fundamental to ensuring fast and accurate handling of security incidents. Based on this viewpoint, we present Comprehensive Information Security Management (CISM) solution for Wireless mobile environment. CISM is based on the technology with a fully integrated incident resolution workflow based on the best practices for incident resolution management. By providing a comprehensive remediation workflow based on the standards-based methodology, CISM guides teams through a proven, security-specific process to fully eradicate threats. It allows teams to attach all relevant information about a threat, so anyone on the team can quickly see the analysis that led to the creation of a case, or replay the attack." @default.
