- W2103494497 abstract "Wound healing is essential for maintaining the integrity of multicellular organisms. The disruption of an epithelial layer instantaneously generates endogenous electric fields, which play a key role in wound healing. In vitro, a variety of cells respond to DC electric fields of physiological strength by directional movement. Such experiments involve culturing cells in specially designed galvanotaxis chambers connected to a DC power supply. In this article, we introduce a novel electrical field bioreactor with a specially designed galvanotaxis chamber. The EFs in galvanotaxis chamber are uniform parallel field and the current density distribution are demonstrated by ANSYS 10.0 electrical field simulation software. For testifying the function of the novel galvanotaxis bioreactor, we cultured Hy 92 6 cells for 12 hours under a online time-lapse microscope. Cells migration tracks are recorded and handled by Image-pro plus5.0 analysis software. The experiment results show Hy926 cells have obvious directional migration to the cathode." @default.
