• W2104475442 abstract "Summary Sperm concentration and four motility characteristics (per cent motile spermatozoa, average velocity, average straight line approach and average speed constancy) were determined in three fractions of human split ejaculates from healthy volunteers. A semi-automatic analysis technique was used to determine sperm parameters from multiple exposure photographs (MEP). Sperm concentration and percentage motility were significantly higher in the first fraction as compared to the third fraction of split ejaculates. The average spermatozoal velocity, average speed constancy and average straight line approach were the same in all fractions. Differences in the percentage of motile spermatozoa were also found after collection of split ejaculates in culture medium. This phenomenon may have been caused by differences in sperm morphology. Significantly more normal spermatozoa were present in the first fractions of 19 split ejaculates as compared to the last fractions. Motilität und Morphologie menschlicher Spermatozoen in Split-Ejakulaten Zusammenfassung Da unterschiedliche Auffassungen über die Bedeutung der Samenflüssigkeit bei der menschlichen Reproduktion vorhanden sind, wurde mittels einer Untersuchung von Split-Ejakulaten dieser Frage nachgegangen. In drei Ejakulatfraktionen von gesunden Probanden wurden die Spermatozoendichte sowie vier Motilitäts-Charakteristika (% motiler Spermatozoen, Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit, durchschnittliche Vorwärtsbeweglichkeit und durchschnittliche Geschwindigkeits-Konstanz) bestimmt. Methodisch wurde eine semi-automatische Analyse-Technik (multiple Belichtungs-Photographie) zur Anwendung gebracht. Die Spermatozoendichte und der Motilitätsprozentsatz waren signifikant höher in der ersten Ejakulatfraktion gegenüber der dritten Fraktion der Split-Ejakulate. Demgegenüber waren die Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit, die durchschnittliche Vorwärtsbewegung und die durchschnittliche Geschwindigkeits-Konstanz in allen drei Fraktionen gleich. Nach Sammlung der Split-Ejakulate in einem Kulturmedium konnten Unterschiede in der prozentualen Verteilung der motilen Spermatozoen beobachtet werden. Dieses Phänomen dürfte seine Ursache in den Unterschieden der Spermatozoenmorphologie haben; so waren in der ersten Fraktion mehr normalkonfigurierte Spermatozoen der 19 Ejakulate vorhanden als in den letzten Fraktionen." @default.
