Los objetivos secundarios eran conocer los motivos de eleccion de los diferentes tratamientos, la relacion entre el estado afectivo y el dolor de los pacientes y, finalmente, conocer la satisfaccion de los pacientes con el tratamiento analgesico. Material y metodos: Estudio posautorizacion, transversal y multicentrico en el que participaron 151 investigadores especialistas en reumatologia, traumatologia, rehabilitacion y unidades del dolor de todo el territorio espanol. Se incluyeron pacientes ≥ 18 anos, con dolor cronico musculoesqueletico de cualquier etiologia, de ≥ 3 meses de evolucion, de intensidad moderada y que estuvieran recibiendo uno de los tres tratamientos mencionados. El estado afectivo se evaluo mediante la escala de depresion y ansiedad de Goldberg. Adicionalmente se evaluo tambien la relacion entre el dolor y el estado afectivo, asi como la satisfaccion del paciente mediante una escala Likert. Resultados: Fueron valorables para el analisis 1.325 pacientes, siendo el 62,9 % mujeres, con una media de edad para el total de los pacientes analizados de 59,8 anos (DT = 15,0). En cuanto al perfil de los pacientes se observaron diferencias estadisticamente significativas entre los tratamientos unicamente para la situacion laboral, siendo los tratados con TP los que con mayor frecuencia eran laboralmente activos (37 %). No hubo diferencias significativas para el resto de caracteristicas sociodemograficas. La intensidad media del dolor evaluada mediante EVA en las 24 h previas a la visita del estudio fue de 6,2 puntos (DT = 1,5) sin diferencias significativas entre grupos. La etiologia mas frecuente del dolor fue la artrosis en el 64,1 % de los casos. El 53,1 % de los pacientes estaba en tratamiento con TP, el 24,5 % con P y el 22,4 % con M. En el 71,6 % de los tratados con TP el primer motivo de su eleccion por parte de los especialistas participantes fue su eficacia, mientras que para los tratados con P fue su tolerabilidad (74,5 %). Secondary objectives were to ascertain the reasons for choosing different treatments, the relationship between affective state and pain and finally to determine the satisfaction of patients with analgesic treatment. Material and methods: A postmarketing, multicenter, cross-sectional study involving 151 researchers specialized in rheumatology, orthopedics, rehabilitation and pain units throughout all the Spanish territory was carried out. Patients ≥ 18 years with chronic musculoskeletal pain of any etiology of ≥ 3 months duration, moderate intensity and receiving one of the three treatments mentioned were included. The affective state of depression and anxiety was assessed using the Goldberg Scale. Additionally the relationship between pain and the affective state was evaluated as well as the patient satisfaction using a Likert scale. Results: 1,325 patients were evaluable for analysis, 62.9% were women with a mean age of 59.8 years (SD = 15.0) for all patients analyzed. The patients profile showed statistically significant differences between treatments only for employment status, being treated patients with TP more often occupationally active (37%). There were no significant differences for other sociodemographic characteristics. The mean intensity of pain assessed by VAS in the 24 hours prior to the study visit was 6.2 points (SD = 1.5) with no significant differences between groups. The most frequent etiology of pain was osteoarthritis in 64.1% of cases. 53.1% of patients were treated with TP, 24.5% with P and 22.4% with M. In 71.6% of those treated with TP the first reason of its choice by the specialists was its efficacy while for P patients was the tolerability (74.5%).
