- W2109436403 abstract "Since the slice method have the advantage of less computation quantity and being easier to use, it is often used to solve the deformation of contact between crowned roller and race in rolling elements bearing analysis. Due to the neglecting of relationship among the roller slices, this method often had a low calculation precision in some instances. The paper presented a revised force-deformation relationship of the contacted slice by analyzing of the error resource of traditional slice method. Thus an improved new slice method was obtained and was programmed into computer code. Calculating result showed the improved slice method can obtain a pressure distribution along the roller axis more reasonable than the traditional one, and its function is extended to analyze the edge effect of roller-race contact which the tradition one can't do. Calculations were conducted for several different crowned rollers in a relatively wider range of forces, and the result was compared with that of traditional slice method and the full numeric calculation. The evidence show that the method presented in this paper had a high precision while hadn't add too much computation quantity and it can be directly used in the dynamic analysis and simulation of roller bearing." @default.
