- W2113648712 abstract "From some experimental results of the electromagnetic rail driving system (EMRDS), it was found that the time sequence of multiple pulses current affected the sliding performance of solid armature. Therefore, how to choose the proper time sequence becomes a noticeable problem. A kind of C-shaped solid armature which has good flexibility is designed and tested at a small experimental system, in this paper, and the experimental results of the sliding performance of the armature is analyzed by the curves of the signal collecting system (SCS) and the rail condition after experiment. The experimental pulse currents include the synchronous pulse current and the sequential one. The experimental results show that at the condition of same charging energy, the muzzle velocity of solid armature under the synchronous pulse is higher than the one under the sequential pulse, that means the efficiency of the former is higher than the one of the latter; however, the solid armature can bear higher charging energy under the sequential pulse than under the synchronous one, so the former can reach the higher muzzle velocity if regardless of the magnitude of charging energy, and its sliding performance is better." @default.
