The results indicatethat the effects of both Reynoldsnumber -d Mach number canbe correlatedon the basis of changes inflow characteristicswithin the innerparts of the boundary layer.Consequently,increasingthe unit Reynolds number has a detrimentaleffect and increasingMach nuder has a powerful alleviating effect ondrag due to surfaceroughness.INTRODUCTIONAs the designs of supersonicaircraftproportion of the airplane drag assignableincreases. This fact makes it imperative,obtainingoptimumperformance in speed andbecome more refined theto skin friction generallyfrom the standpointofrsmge, that the airplaneskin frictionbe maintained at the lowestpracticable value by keepingthe airplane surfacesaerodpamicall.ysmooth.
