Das et al.,[1] have already demonstrated nanoparticles of copper on solid state substrates using “plasma gas condensation”, a vacuum based synthesis approach. This paper reports the simulation results for the synthesis of gold nanoparticles using plasma gas condensation and a study of their optical properties. The simulations as per [2] for process parameter control for the synthesis of gold nanoparticles using plasma gas condensation are discussed . The interaction of the nanoparticles with light is then studied. The electric field induced at the metal dielectric interface, which is relevant for SERS devices, is also calculated for different sizes of nanoparticles." @default.
