- W2120088155 abstract "Dielectric relaxations in CeO2 are observed within the temperature range of 93 to 243 K. There are three relaxations each characterized by a nearly single relaxation time. The activation energies (E) and reciprocal frequency factors (τ0) are found to be 0.17, 0.30, 0.38 eV, and 1.35 × 10−10, 5.01 × 10−13, 1.42 × 10−148, respectively. Each observed relaxation is attributed to the orientation of a particular type of dipole complex activated by oxygen-vacancy “jumps”, from one site to another equivalent site with respect to a cation site which has a cubic environment of oxygen atoms. The three dipole complexes are supposed to be formed by suitable combinations of La+ occuping a cation site in the cubic environment of oxygen, an oxygen vacancy in an equivalent site of the so called 8-position model, and Nb+ at an interstitial site. The dipole moments of the three complexes are found to be 8.31 × 10−29(I), 6.75 × 10−29(II), and 7.63 × 10−29Cm (III), while the concentrations of dipoles, N are found to be 4.18 × 1025(I), 7.31 × 1025 (II), and 7.54 × × 1025 m−3 (III), respectively.Dielektrisclie Relaxationen in CeO2 werden im Temperaturbereich von 93 bis 243 K beobachtet. Es exist, ieren drei Relaxationen, die jeweils durch eine nahezu einheitliche Relaxittionszeit charakterisiert sind. Die Aktivierungsenergien (E) und reziproken Frequenzfaktoren (τ0) werden zu 0,17; 0,30 und 038 eV bzw. 1,35 × 10−10; 5,01 × 10−13 s bestimmt. Jede beobachtete Relaxation wird der Orientierung einer speziellen Art von Dipolkomplex zugeordnet, die durch Sauerstoffleerstellen „spriinge” von einem zum anderen aquivalenten Platz bezuglich eines Kationplatzes, der eine kubische Koordination von Sauerstoffatomen aufweist, aktiviert wird. Es wird angenommen, das die drei Dipolkomplcxe durch geeignete Kombinationen von La+, das einen Kationenplatz mit kubischer Sauerstoffkoordinierung besetzt, einer Sauerstoffleerstelle auf einem aquivalenten Platz des sog. 8-Lagenmodells sowie von Nb+ auf einem Zwischengitterplatz gebildet wird. Die Dipolmomente der drei Komplexe werden zu 8,31 × (I); 6,75 × 10−29 (II) und 7,63 × 10−29 Cm (III) gefunden, wahrend die Dipolkonzentrationen N, 4,18 × 1025 (I); 7,31 × × 1025 (II) bzw. 7,54 × 1025 m−3 (III) betragen." @default.
