- W2127469753 abstract "This paper presents a synthesis of the results of a research project developed in 14 primary schools in Madrid (Spain) between 2003 and 2008. Various dimensions related to teachers' beliefs and school practice have been analyzed from an intercultural perspective, in order to describe the scenarios and practices developed by teachers, considered key elements of the educational system.The paper has the following structure: after presenting the theoretical framework and a brief analysis of the political and educational context where schools and teachers are located, it focuses on the research methodology (which includes observation and interviews) and results, exposed as two possible contrasting scenarios derived from the observed practices: the one that is the most adjusted to an intercultural approach in education, and the one that is the least adjusted to it, considering the actual practices developed at schools. These descriptions give an overview of what is done and what is not in Madrid, considered from an intercultural perspective. Finally, the conclusions reflect on the path traveled and left to go towards an intercultural school." @default.
