- W2128094815 abstract "A millimeter wave cylindrical conformal array with conical beam is presented in this paper. The array consists of eight microstrip leaky wave antenna (MLWA) elements. The gain ripple with the number of elements is investigated. Based on the analysis results, the least number of elements can be chosen for a given ripple in gain pattern. The performances of the array were analyzed by full-wave commercial software CST. The simulated radiation patterns show that the radiation pattern is conical in shape with the maximum radiation at about 320 from the axis at the fixed frequency 32 GHz. The impedance bandwidth (VSWR¿2) is from 29 GHz to 34 GHz. The error of the beam pointing causing by the frequency shift is also given. This new omnidirectional array can be used in millimeter wave detecting system or proximity fuse system." @default.
