- W2128619064 abstract "Abstract New tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) derivatives and analogues were synthesized, which might serve as a promising donor for developing organic materials with electrical conducting and magnetic properties superior to those hitherto obtained. The charge-transfer (CT) complexes and cation radical salts prepared from the donors exhibited comparatively high electrical conductivities. The CT complex between ethanediylidene-2,2′-bis(1,3-dithiole) and TCNQ was obtained as single crystals, whose temperature dependence of electrical conductivity was surely metal-like. Several attempts to get organic ferromagnets, ferrimagnets and magnetic metals using the new donors were also made. To be noted, ferromagnetic interaction was first found out in the CT complexes between the trimethylenemethane dication substituted with 1,3-dithiole groups and dianionic donors. By taking this opportunity the first purely organic ferromagnets came out, which are based on the CT complexes with a definite composition." @default.
