Both ma terials, with a thickness of 200 µm, were conformed by uniaxial pressing and sintered at 1350oC. The hardness ( H), Young modulus (E) and fracture toughness ( KIC) were characterized by means of instrumented inden tation technique, using a Berkovich diamond tip, to different applied loads: 5, 10, 30, 100, 500 y 650 mN. The residual imprints were observed by field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). The results of H, E and KIC of GDC were around 20% lower than YSZ." @default.
