- W2138889584 abstract "Introduction:Occupational stress prevention is one of the priorities concerning health and safety on the workplace. Financial dimensions of the workplace stress consequences are significant for the employer - work absenteeism due to health problem in relation to the occupation, impaired concentration, fatigue and exhaustion. Health care managers as part of the clinic management often fulfill their duties under large pressure. Traditionally professions in the health care system are acknowledged as the most stressful.Aim: To investigate the health care managers' opinion about the most frequent causes of workplace stress.Materials and methods: A direct individual investigation among 44 senior nurses / laboratory technicians / midwives from MMA-MHAT-Sofia was held in December 2013. Results were statistically processed.Results: 39% of all respondents have experience as managers for up to 20 years and 36% - for more than 20 years. 70.4% have health care management master's degree. More than 54% of the respondents have pointed out the large amount of tasks that have to be done in short terms as a cause of stress. According to 52% another cause are the conflicted situations and for 34% - the personal relationships.Conclusions: According to the greater part of the respondents the existing stress causes are overwhelmed by work planning and re-organizing. Delegation of more authorities and responsibilities to the employees decreases the role stress. Family, employers and colleagues support decreases levels of the professional stress." @default.
