- W2141610650 abstract "The geographical distribution and the morphological variability of male genital character states of Maladera affinis (Blanchard, 1850) comb. n. and M. insanabilis (Brenske, 1894) comb. n. are studied. The results suggest conspecific populations of M. affinis in Madagascar, Ile de Reunion and northern Indian subcontinent. The following new synonymies are established: Maladera affinis (Blanchard) (= Serica moreli Coquerell, 1866, syn. n., = Autoserica calcuttae Brenske, 1898, syn. n., = Autoserica lahulensis Moser, 1919, syn. n.). Lectotypes of Serica moreli Coquerell and Maladera affinis (Blanchard) are designated. The disjunctive distribution of M. affinis may have resulted from a rather recent event of accidental introduction by man, probably with cultivated plants." @default.
