- W2143150860 abstract "The ąuestion underlying research presented here was: to what extent does the natural context that accompanies the exposition of semantic and asemantic objects modify the course of their mental rotation? This question entails the following issues: are big and smali objects equally effective in rotation? In what way does the morpho- logy (texture) of the objects under consideration (their material and, consequently, weight) affect the speed and accuracy of their rotation? Does the process of mental rotation of semantic objects have the same pace and is eąually accurate as the process of rotating asemantic objects? What is the role of (canonical vs. non-canonical) perspec- tive (from which to look at the object in its non-rotated position) in the task of mental rotation? The above questions outlined the scope of research whose essence was to re- veal some aspects of processing the images of semantic and asemantic objects placed in nearly natural conditions. The following relations have been noticed: the tasks that consisedt in rotating semantic and asemantic objects, simple and complex objects, were performed equally fast and accurately. The objects exposed in the canonical perspec-" @default.
