Benson is an organizational development, human resource development, and human resource professional. Presently, he is Director of Organizational Development for KCI. Twenty years ago Steve started his career as a line manager. In 1982 he made a transition into human resources and training. During the past 13 years he has worked in the health care industry. His involvement in CBT began in 1994 and has grown into a major part of his present work. In 1995 he founded a consulting company. Steve's practical and professional experience gives him unique insights into the problems facing today's managers. Steve earned his bachelor's of education and master's of psychology and measurement from the University of Nebraska. While earning his college degrees he was also a University in Action volunteer. Steve's professional interests expand beyond his career work. He has served as the chair of the Education Committee for the Texas Health Care Association (THCA) and has been a speaker for THCA and the Texas Association for Homes of the Aging. Steve has published two management-related books, plus articles in the American Health Care Association Provider magazine and Contemporary Long-Term Care magazine.
