- W2150590397 abstract "The paper highlights two tolerance band based current control (CC) methods of induction machines (IM) fed by a pulse width modulated voltage source inverter (PWM-VSI) by comparing their behaviour with the properties of chaotic systems. The question of whether or not this system is chaotic is investigated. The author believes that by initiating this question, a highway is opened for the introduction of the theory of chaos, which currently is on the frontier of science, into the field of power electronics. Some remarkable simulation results make these opening steps promising and exciting. The stator current vector wanders seemingly randomlike in the tolerance band. Interestingly, this movement has striking similarities with the properties of chaotic systems. The paper notes that the chaos theory overturns the classic view, held by physicists since the days of Isaac Newton, that the universe is a predictable place governed by simple laws." @default.
