Summary: In strongly acid gastric juice (pH< 2) nystatin loses a part of its antimycotic activity. The nystatin-containing suspension proved to be effective even after treatment of up to 6 hours in gastric juice with pH-values of more than 2.5. Different nystatin-dosages show a good effect on yeasts after a duration of action up to 16 hours in gastric juice with a pH-value of 3.5." @default.
