- W2153391200 abstract "dermatis 2%), one third mainly because of gastrointestinal symptoms (abdominal pain 24%, diarrhea 8%), 14% mainly because of pulmonary manifestations (asthma) and 4% after anaphylactic shock. Fifty-three % of patients complained of only one clinical manifestation : 25% cutaneous, 21% gastrointestinal, 5% oropharyngal and 2% pulmonary. In 47% of patients clinical manifestations were associated as follows : cutaneous + gastrointestinal 13%, cutaneous + pulmonary 13%, cutaneous + oropharyngal 9%, gastrointestinal + pulmonary 7%, gastrointestinal + cutaneous + oropharyngal 5%. Conclusion : Nearly half patients with food allergy have gastrointestinal manifestations isolated (21%) or associated with oropharyngo-cutaneous (18%) or less frequently pulmonary manifestations. Among gastrointestinal manifestations painless diarrhea is uncommon (16%); abdominal pains are the most frequent symptoms (84%) which are isolated in 56% of cases or associated with diarrhea in 44% of cases." @default.
