- W2154966215 abstract "The nature of vapours above calomel up to temperatures of about 500°C was studied by means of absorption, especially in the mercury resonance line at 253.7 nm, what was used as an indication of mercury in the vapour. It was proved that mercury(I) chloride vapour decomposes partially to mercury and mercury(II) chloride only due to impurities. On the contrary, the vapour above calomel of a sufficient purity does not decompose to the mentioned components in the whole temperature range. @default.
