Measured dimensions (mm) on preoperative CT-scan (OsiriX® software) were, on the femur: AP on medial and lateral side (APM, APL), ML at the level of the distal cut, on the anterior, median and posterior third (MLANT, MLDIST and MLPOST) and at the mid part of the posterior cut (MLPC). On the tibia: ML (MLT) and AP on medial and lateral plateaus (APTL, APTM). Each measure was compared with the corresponding dimension of the implant. Pre/post operative differences (prefix D) were calculated (positive=oversizing). TKA were all Noetos, Tornier, France. KOOS was filled preoperatively and at one year FU. Pain score (P) (100 points) and difference pre/postoperative (DP) were analyzed. Oversizing was observed on the tibia (DMLT=1.18±2.9, DAPTL=3.08±3.1) and the femur (DMLANT=2.5±4.7, DAPM=1.1±2.6). Under sizing on the tibia (DAPTM= −1.58±2.4) and on the femur (DAPL=−0.81±3.2, DMLDIST= −1.24±4.4. DMLPOST= −2.93±4.2 and DMLPC= −1.68±4). A strong correlation was found between oversizing and DP in all dimensions excepted APTM and APM. Thresholds (T) were defined above which, DP was significantly lower (T, DP if inferior to T/ DP if superior to T, p-value). DAPL: 1mm, 35.1±20/23.9±16, 0.0083. DMLANT: 0mm, 39.2±20/29.7±18, 0.029. DMLPOST: 1.5mm, 33.2±19.7/22.8±15.4, 0.041. DMLT: 2.5mm, 34.8±18.8/ 26.7±19.9, 0.034. DAPTL: 4mm, 35.2±19.5/27.4±18.9, 0.036. For two ML dimensions on the femur, the limit was an undersized component: DMLDIST: −4.5mm, 42.9±21/29.4±18, 0.006. DMLPC: −4mm, 38.2±19.4/29.9±19.2, 0.045.
