- W2155890674 abstract "Visual mental imagery has traditionally been attributed to post- rolandic function of the human brain. Nevertheless, some sources of evidence have recently appeared about the role of the frontal lobes at these conscious and controlled processes. To show that human frontal lobes also play a role at visual mental imagery. Visual metal imagery has been assessed by means of a neuropsychological battery in a sample of 57 brain- injured patients and 55 control subjects. Statistically significant differences have been found at visual mental imagery tests amongst control subjects and brain-injured ones; however, no significant differences have been found amongst frontal lobe patients and post-rolandic ones. Data suggest that both frontal lobes are implied at the generation and processing of visual mental images. Key-words: Mental imagery; Frontal function; Perception; Memory; Neuropsychology." @default.
