- W2163660112 abstract "We have analyzed electrophysiological data showing that neurons of rat neocortical slices delivered spikes at almost the same timing in response to fluctuating current. The experiment was simulated with a model neuron of the Hodgkin–Huxley equations. Results were as follows: (1) Computer simulation using the model reproduced the experimental data that constant current led to firing at different timing, whereas fluctuating current produced spikes at the same timing.
