- W2169679849 abstract "The electron effective masses in n-type GaAs with different concentrations have been determined from Faraday effect measurements at T = 99 and 300°K. The experimentally obtained increase of the electron effective mass with increasing concentration may be interpreted in terms of the non-parabilicity of the conduction band. Using the experimental values of the electron effective mass and concentration, the electron effective mass at the bottom of the band was calculated. The obtained results are discussed in comparison with the theory and with the results of other authors. The variation of the electron effective mass with temperature is found to be a few per cent and is mainly determined by the temperature variation of the energy gap. On détermine la masse électronique effective dans le GaAs du type n, pour diverses concentrations, à 99 et 300°K, par mesure de l'effet Faraday, La croǐssance avec la concentration obtenue expérimentalement pour la masse effective électronique, peut ětre interpretée en tenant compte de la nonparabolicité de la bande de conduction. On calcule la masse effective électronique au bas de la bande de conduction en utilisant les valeurs expérimentales de la masse effective électronique et de la concentration. Les résultats obtenus sont comparés avec la théorie, de měme qu'avec les résultats des autres auteurs. On estime que la dépendence de température de la masse effective électronique est de quelque pourcents et qu'elle est due essentiellement à la variation de l'énergie de la bande interdite avec la température." @default.
