- W2170027140 abstract "A 53-year-old, 74-kg male patient was scheduled for elective coronary artery bypass surgery because of multivessel coronary artery stenosis. He had been suffering from stable angina pectoris for approximately 2 weeks before admission. Preoperative coronary angiography revealed 60% obstruction of the left main coronary artery, 60% obstruction of the left anterior descending artery, 90% obstruction of the circumflex artery, and 70% obstruction of the right coronary artery. Left ventricular ejection fraction was 62%. Past medical history was important for hypertension treated with nitrendipine and metoprolol. Preoperative electrocardiogram revealed sinus rhythm with no ischemic changes. He was smoking cigarettes (3 packs/d) up until the time of surgery (75 pack-year history). A preoperative chest radiograph exhibited changes consistent with slight emphysema bilaterally. Preoperative routine laboratory findings revealed no abnormal results (Table 1).
