- W2172389949 abstract "Disasters, which are defined as “situations or events which overwhelm the capacity of local sources to address needs”, have been increasing in terms of frequency, diversity and destructiveness, both in our country and throughout the world. The situation of healthcare systems becomes more complicated in disasters because of the increased healthcare needs of populations and the necessity for multidisciplinary work and collaboration with volunteer teams, besides the direct damages on infrastructure and loss of manpower. One of the main tools for coping with these problems is training healthcare workers for disasters. However, it is difficult to claim that disaster preparedness and education for health professionals for responding efficiently are adequate, both for Turkey and the world. Although there are numerous training programs, many of them are organized without any collaboration of institutions, have severe gaps in the content, are unable to cover target groups, and are unable to support coordination of disaster workers from different sectors. In this study, it was aimed to review the existing situation of disaster education in the health sector, and to define the needs for education. Also, core competency objectives for undergraduate medical education are determined and a program is proposed. Turkish Baslik: Olagandisi Durumlarda Saglik Hizmetleri Egitimi: Mezuniyet Oncesi Tip Egitimi Icin Onemli Bir Gereklilik Anahtar Kelimeler: Olagandisi durumlar, olagandisi durumlarda saglik hizmetleri, mezuniyet oncesi tip egitimi “Gereksinimlerin yerel kaynaklarin kapasitesini astigi durumlar” biciminde tanimlanan olagandisi durumlarin sikligi, cesitliligi ve yikiciligi, dunyada ve ulkemizde artis gostermektedir. Saglik sistemlerinin dogrudan yasadigi altyapi ve insan gucu kayiplarinin yani sira toplumun saglik hizmeti gereksiniminin artmasi, cok-disiplinli ve gonullu ekiplerle calisma zorunlulugu, yerine getirilmesi gereken gorevlerin coklugu ve cesitliligi gibi sorunlar, durumu daha da karmasiklastirmaktadir. Bu sorunlarla bas etmek icin en temel araclardan birisi, saglik calisanlarinin olagandisi durumlara yonelik olarak egitilmesidir. Ancak dunyada ve Turkiyea#39;de olagandisi durumlara hazirlikli olma ve etkili yanit verme egitimi acisindan cok umutlu bir tablo oldugunu ileri surmek guctur. Cok sayida program uygulaniyor olsa da, programlar cogunlukla kurumlarin birbiriyle isbirligi yapmadan duzenledigi, icerik acisindan onemli eksikler tasiyan, hedef grup kapsayiciligi yetersiz ve farkli sektorlerden olagandisi durum calisanlarinin esgudumunu desteklemeyen niteliktedir. Bu calismada dunyada ve Turkiyea#39;de saglik alaninda olagandisi durum egitimiyle ilgili durum gozden gecirilmekte ve gereksinimlerin tanimlanmasi amaclanmaktadir. Ayrica bir ornek olarak, mezuniyet oncesi tip egitimi icin cekirdek yeterlik hedefleri belirlenmekte ve bir program onerisi sunulmaktadir. Program onerisi hazirlanirken, egitim programlarinin etkililigini guvenceye almak amaciyla onerilen egitim programi gelistirme basamaklari izlenmistir. Bu amacla, cesitli yontemlerle egitsel gereksinimler belirlenmis; olagandisi durum tibbiyla ilgili temel kaynaklar incelenerek ogrenme hedefleri secilmis ve ogrenme hedeflerine uygun ogretme yontem ve teknikleri kararlastirilmistir." @default.
