- W2175055557 abstract "Abstract A novel ceramic membrane coated with MnO 2 –Co 3 O 4 nanoparticles was fabricated by catalytic ozonation for degradation of benzophenone-3, a typical ultraviolet absorber, from water. Synthesized MnO 2 –Co 3 O 4 nanoparticles showed excellent catalytic activity. Structure and surface property characterization confirmed the presence of MnO 2 –Co 3 O 4 nanoparticles with 7.05 ± 0.99 nm diameters and a surface area as 90.0609 m 3 /g. These nanoparticles were suitable for the surface modification of ceramic membranes used in this study. Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy analyses suggest that MnO 2 –Co 3 O 4 nanoparticles filled membrane pores and reduced the surface roughness. The ceramic membrane coated with MnO 2 –Co 3 O 4 nanoparticles showed remarkable activity in catalytic ozonation. The performance of the membrane and its surface nanoparticle layers were stable and the concentration of leached metal ions was low. After catalytic ozonation with the coated ceramic membrane, a reduction in toxicity was observed. The ceramic membrane coated with MnO 2 –Co 3 O 4 nanoparticles catalytic ozonation is optional for BP-3 degradation from aqueous." @default.
