- W2176578145 abstract "The usage of hydraulic servo drives with independent specific hydraulics (PRA) in aircraft control systems, the so-called integral steering gear arrangement, i.e. the combination of hydraulic energy source and its consumer in one block pursues an increase in reliability management system (RMS) due to the elimination of pipelines connecting the drive to a source of specific hydraulics, and exclusion the impact of failure of other consumers on the performance of the drive, as well as increasing the survivability of the RMS due to the failure of the long pipeline communications and their replacement with a conductive grid that reduces the vulnerability of systems, are considered. The main reason for the delay in the implementation of the PRA to modern aircrafts was the fact that these aircrafts required PRA significantly more powerful with significant heat generation, which cause unacceptable overheating of the PRA. Positive and negative sides of PRA and alternatives to RMS with increased reliability and survivability, local hydraulic systems as promising alternative to autonomous steering gear. At present, the implementation of PRA on mainline aircrafts is inappropriate because it creates a disproportionate number of problems that reduce, in general, safety, without causing significant weight and performance benefits, at the same time the works on the establishment of the competitiveness of the PRA should be continued." @default.
