Miscellaneous, other, unspecified instruments: eg. mcb Action: to contact a BASCHET structures specialist for advice. 2. Translation of the list of codes A complete translation into Portuguese of the list of codes was conducted by the IAML Portuguese Group. The translated words will be integrated into the database by Massimo Gentili-Tedeschi. In the context of the linked data, the list needs to be revised to remove all the occurrences (qualifying a term identical in several languages) and record the term in each language specifying that language (German / Italian / English / French). Eg. sonata multilingual should be replaced by: sonata English sonata Italian The database contains 51 occurrences multilingual. Then a definition of each coded instrument will have to be added. 3. Italian proposal for a new field for character (623) The Italian proposal, which is connected with the new RISM project (Libretto project), has been presented. It concerns the creation of a new field to identify and describe the characters and link them to the corresponding performers (by subfield $ 6 connected to 7xx Uniform personal name heading). The first version of the proposal was reviewed and several amendments and additions proposed. Some issues were discussed: How to deal with characters not identified by a proper name (eg. Angel)? Collective characters? A note to clarify the uses (note on field content) seems to be the most appropriate solution. The new proposed field contains subfields for the name of the character, its attributes and indications of links with other characters, the voice range (in textual and coded form), and a link to the name of the performer, if present on the source and linked to the bibliographic record. …" @default.
