- W2183071537 abstract "In the current turbulent times, Intention to Stay is an important construct that interests organizations given its positive association with employee retention and engagement. The present study examined the role of Perceived Organizational Support (POS), Perceived Superior Support (PSS), Goal Clarity, Perceived Career Progression Opportunities (PCP) and Job Satisfaction (JS) in determining the Intention to Stay. Data was collected from 130 professionals from a leading Indian ITES company who were deployed at client site in the BFSI sector. Data was collected using the Intention to Stay scale and a 35 item questionnaire assessing the work place antecedents of interest. Multiple regressions analysis result indicated that PSS (β = .30, ∆R 2 = 0.25, p<.01), followed by Job Satisfaction (β = .29, ∆R 2 = 0.33, p<.01) and POS (β = .17, ∆R 2 = 0.36, p<.01) emerged as positive predictors of Intention to Stay. Goal Clarity (β = .24, ∆R 2 = 0.38, p<.01) and PCP (β = .22, ∆R 2 = 0.41, p<.01) also emerged as positive predictors. The entire model explained the variance of 41 %.
