- W2186276210 abstract "The recovery necessity of degraded soils or with deficiency of organic matter has increased in the last decades, becoming the organic amendment an efficient and fast economic alternative for such purpose. In Venezuela, few researches have been carried out about the characterization of organic amendments. Most of the researches are oriented towards characterizing the organic matter of the soil, and to evaluate the physic/chemical and biological properties of it, after applying organic amendment. The quality researches of the organic amendments imply the evaluation of their physic/chemical and biochemical properties, which depend on the processes to which the amendments are submitted for their humification. In this research were determined the properties and physic/chemical and biochemical characteristics of the most used organic amendments in the country with the aim of evaluating their quality, stability and ripening and infer about their properties of usage. The mineralization of carbon was evaluated, through the production of CO2, of poultry manure, sludge, mud of the treatment plant, beef cattle and goat dung and vermicompost with different origins. The fractioning of the organic matter was done by its solubility in acids and alkalis, with the aim of obtaining the parameters of humidification, index, degree and relation of humification. It was obtained that vermicompost Zea and Ula are more steady organic amendments, while, beef cattle and goat dung, and poultry manure Lara and Merida are less steady; results that correspond to the values of the humidification indexes." @default.
