• W2186277180 abstract "The purpose of this paper is to present an adaptive control approach to vibration control using FxLMS algorithm with feedback Neutralization. Active Vibration control (AVC) uses secondary sources to cancel vibrations from primary sources based on the principle of super position. A feedforward FxLMS - AVC system applied to structure normally uses a reference sensor, a control unit, an actuator to generate secondary vibration and an error sensor to monitor the response of the structure. However, the control actuator which is used to cancel the primary vibrations will also generate vibrations in the structure. These secondary vibrations not only cancel the vibration, but also reach the reference sensor, resulting in a corrupted reference signal which is picked up by the reference sensor. The coupling of the vibrations from the control actuator to the reference sensor is called Structural Feedback. The presence of strong structural feedback degrades the performance of AVC systems, and, in the worst case, the AVC system may become unstable. This structural feedback problem is solved by introducing a feedback neutralization filter in the controller in parallel with the structural feedback path. The FxLMS with feedback neutralization has been implemented for a single channel active control system in MATLAB. The FxLMS with feedback neutralization guarantees the stability of AVC systems over conventional FxLMS – AVC systems." @default.
