- W2186335879 abstract "During the quarter to semester conversion at Ohio Northern University, the electrical engineering course curriculum committee decided to introduce analog and digital communication concepts in one four credit semester based course, with three hours of lecture and three hours of lab per week for fifteen weeks. The two concepts were taught before in two separate four credit quarter based courses, with three hours lecture and three hours lab per week for twenty weeks. Hence, a total of fifteen lecture hours and five lab periods were lost due to the semester conversion. Nevertheless, the instructor was still able to cover the necessary material in one course for the first time in the last academic year. Also, the numerical values of the students’ feedback were above the college average. This paper summarizes the challenges and advantages of introducing analog and digital modulation techniques in one concise semester base course." @default.
