Enuresis is one of the most prevalent problems in childhood. Due to its social and emotional impact, it is extremely important to start treatment as soon as diagnosis is made. The enuresis bell and pad alarm is considered to be a first line treatment to enuresis. In spite of this fact, access to it may be very restricted. The quest for developing strategies to disseminate such an effective treatment modality should be a goal in the field. Online communication, such as long distance calls thought the Internet, may be a great tool in the pursuit of this purpose. This case study aims to describe the use of such online communication tools on the context of a behavioral treatment to enuresis, using the bell and pad alarm. The sample was composed of a nine-year-old boy and his parents. Treatment duration was 13 weeks. It was a successful treatment, resulting in the child obtaining sphincter control during the night. This outcome shows that the bell and pad alarm treatment is effective even if it consists of computer-based communication though the Internet. This tool may overcome the existing gap between the amount of specialized treatment for enuresis available and the demand for it among the Brazilian population.
