- W2188648419 abstract "Effects of environmental conditions, FRP type including CFRP and GFRP and adhesive type including adhesive Ⅰand adhesive Ⅱon axial compressive performance of FRP strips confined concrete cylinders were investigated through their axial compressive test. Environmental conditions include freeze-thaw cycle and room temperature environment of lab. Experimental results show that, axial stress-strain curves of confined cylinders are basically bilinear under room temperature and freeze-thaw cycle, the strength and ductility of confined cylinders are higher and better than those of plain concrete cylinders. The strength, stiffness and ductility of FRP strips confined concrete cylinders decreases after freeze-thaw cycle, and the reduction value increases with the increase of cycle times. FRP type and adhesive type affect the deterioration level of confined cylinders. CFRP confined cylinders are more resistant to freeze-thaw cycle than GFRP confined cylinders, the strength and ductility of cylinders using adhesive Ⅱ are better than those of cylinders using adhesive Ⅰ，but adhesive Ⅱ is more susceptible to freeze-thaw cycle than adhesive Ⅰ." @default.
