- W2188959360 abstract "Palabras clave: Chamanismo, Cosmovision, Totonacas, Ritual, Enfermedad y Salud Abstract: This article analyses the shamanistic phenomenon in the vast North Sierra of Puebla State. Taking the ethnographic information gathered among San Pedro Petlacotla's Totonacs as a starting point, an attempt is made to summarize some of the main features of that activity in the already mentioned area. Taking into account these features, a table will be drawn which will analyze the epistemic features allowing this specialty. Not only does the article deal with shamanism as a method and practice but also explores the worldview, which these whole techniques represent. The idea of nature, its way of combining it with the person notion and the relations between the two present a special treatment that makes possible, from my point of view, great part of the traditional system of Totonac healing." @default.
