- W2188970507 abstract "This is an attempt to evaluate the effects of organic and inorganic fertilizer on yield of cowpea. The seeds of the selected cowpea varieties were sown in to a plastic pot of size six (6).The variety received the following treatments sandy soil {1104.379} organic manure {524.00g} and inorganic fertilizer {14.00g}, a combination of organic manure {1524.00g} and inorganic fertilizer {4.00g} and also combination of sandy soil and inorganic fertilizer {4.00}.The set up was randomized design (RBD) with three replicates and a control. Data for plant height (cm), stem circumference, leaf area, number of leaves per plant and number of pods per plant were taken at two weeks interval for a period of 10 weeks. The results showed that, the combination of organic manure and inorganic fertilizer yielded higher than either organic manure or inorganic fertilizer applied alone." @default.
