- W2192692591 abstract "Objective To investigate the infection condition of rotavirus,calicivirus,adenovirus and norovirus among infantile diarrhea specimens in north district of Henan province. Methods Fecal specimens were collected from 269 diarrhea infants hospitalized in the first affiliated hospital of Xinxiang medical college from January to December in 2009. Enzyme linked im-munosorbent assay ( ELISA) were performed to detect the antigens of rotavirus,calicivirus,adenovirus,and norovirus,and then compared with the specimens of 50 healthy infants. The orrhology testing was taken to detected the rotavirus,and reverse transcription and polymerase chain reaction( RT-PCR) was adopted to type the gene. Results The detection rates of rotavirus,calicivirus and adenovirus were 59. 2% ,7. 8% and 1. 1% respectively,norovirus was not detected. The combined infection rate was 2. 2%. Fifty-six fecal specimens were tested by ELISA and RT-PCR,and the results showed that the two methods got the consistency of 96. 43%. Fifty-six rotaviruses of serotype G were further typed as serotype Ⅰ( 3 cases) ,Ⅱ( 3 cases ) ,Ⅲ( 43 cases) and Ⅸ( 4 cases) ,with 3 cases untyped. Among the 8 rotaviruses of type P,7 were type as G3P8 and one G9P8. The rotavirus infection showed significantly seasonality,with a high prevalence in fall and winter. While the prevalence of calicivirus was high in fall. Conclusion Rotavirus is the major viral pathogen accounting for infantile diarrhea in north district of Henan province,followed by calicivirus and adenovirus. The type of epidemic rotavirus is mainly G3,especially G3P8." @default.
