Es gab in den funfziger Jahren keinen Aufstand der Sohne gegen die wissenschaftlichen Vater, keine Manifeste und Proklamationen. Es wurden keine lokalen Schulen gegrundet, die (wie seinerzeit Berlin fur die Gestaltpsychologie und Chicago fur den Behaviorismus) der neuen Richtung als Kristallisationspunkt dienten. Die Psychologie der Informationsverarbeitung eroberte die Allgemeine Psychologie nicht, sie diffundierte gewissermasen in sie hinein. Sie entstand nicht in der Auseinandersetzung mit der herrschenden theoretischen Orientierung, sondern sie verdankt ihre Existenz der Faszination, die von der Informationstechnologie und dem ihr zugrundeliegenden theoretischen Apparat ausging." @default.
